Strengthening Enviromental Governance Starting from the Grassroots Lamongan Regency

As an archipelago with over 17,000 islands, responsible waste management may not be implemented by each of Indonesia’s smallest units of local government. To support Lamongan’s local waste management, i-Sentra participates in the “Awarding Lingkungan Hidup 2025” organized by Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Kabupaten Lamongan.

During this event, i-Sentra contributed by providing trash bins as environmental support for the smallest units of government, which are RT and RW administrators, who achieved the highest evaluation scores in the neighborhood-based waste management assessment. The donated trash bins were procured through a vendor recommended by DLH Kab. Lamongan, ensuring alignment with local standards and operational needs. Upon completion, the units were collected at the DLH office and subsequently distributed to selected RT and RW waste management groups. Through this collaborative effort involving i-Sentra, the Lamongan Regency government, DLH Kabupaten Lamongan and the people of Lamongan, the program not only rewards sustainable environmental practices but also reinforces collective responsibility toward a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment.

With this, i-Sentra is one step closer to promoting Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11).
