Collaborative Efforts to Address Clean Water Scarcity in Kemantren Village

Penyerahan (1)

In Indonesia, access to clean and reliable water remains a critical challenge, particularly in rural areas where geographical conditions limit infrastructure development. In the Lamongan Regency, some villages, especially those located in hilly southern areas, continue to face seasonal water scarcity that affects public health.

i-Sentra, in collaboration with PT. UTSG, continues its commitment to sustainable development through the construction of a bore well and water storage tank, aimed at improving access to clean water for communities in Kemantren Village, Paciran Subdistrict, Lamongan Regency. The construction of the drilled well and water storage tank is designed to serve approximately 100 households, or around 400 residents, who currently face daily challenges in obtaining clean water for basic needs. By focusing on areas with the greatest vulnerability, this program supports essential community infrastructure while improving public health, sanitation, and overall quality of life for the people of Kemantren Village.

Responding directly to requests from the local government and local residents, i-Sentra and PT. UTSG appointed a local contractor from Kemantren Village to carry out the construction works. This approach not only ensures alignment with local conditions but also promotes community participation.

This initiative reflects i-Sentra’s commitment to fulfill Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6) in the Regency of Lamongan.
